Everyone knew that the stadium would not be ready , Levy knew it before the fixtures were done , they didn’t want to play the first few fixtures away like we had to , and if they informed the FA that it wasn’t going to be ready until September they would have had to play all there games at a different stadium.

Crazy to think that Spurs didn't plan a backup venue, in case the stadium wasn't ready on time!
HUGE amount of costs involved, fan travel, and hotels, logistics of both teams, policing, catering, etc. Will bear a large cost for sure!

If the issue is they wont have a safety certificate ready for spectators - but the pitch is ok, they could just play in the new stadium without any fans (behind closed doors)

We won't see a penny, but no doubt they'll claw in a small nominal fee and proclaim it as a victory for the tax payer.

They’ve been told they can’t move the Man City game on 28 Oct to the Ethihad... could get interesting. Can’t play at Wembley as there is NFL there! What happens if a club can’t fulfill a fixture? Forfeit points, fine?

If it was a game or two in August then maybe but given they are talking about late October (possibly) then they should stay at ONE home ground for the season.
